***JAC***

Jac is my Dad's new puppy. While my Dad is still in the hospital we are puppy sitting Jac. Last night at 10 my Uncle David showed up with him luckily the kids were in bed already because they wouldn't of wanted to go to bed. This morning at 6:30 Saydee could hear him and woke up she then woke Gavin up to see him. They then began to fight over who got to hold him and for how long poor puppy. His first night was better then I thought it would be he hardly barked he seems to be a good puppy so far. This is going to be a fun week or two the kids will have fun I am just glad that in the end after having fun we get to send him home with Grandpa. He is a Mini Schnauzer and should only get up to 15lbs so he will be a little dog. Grandpa might have a fight on his hand when it comes time to send him home the kids already say they love him at least they can go visit.

Kids At Play

The kids went out to play today. I watch two more kids in the afternoon for a few hours their names are Conner and Nakailee they are fun. Conner is about Saydee's age and Nakailee is a 1/2 year younger then Gavin they play good together. Cody was soaking the corner of the lawn and Gavin figured out that there was water on and pulled his tractor onto the lawn to wash it. Gavin then began to spray all of the kids and got them soaking wet right before their mom showed up what kids!!! At least they had fun.

DAD HAD HIS 3rd BACK SURGERY

So Dad (grandpa) had to go through another back surgery this is his 3rd and he came out fighting like a champ. He has also had one neck surgery what a tough guy. We Love you dad. The kids didn't know what to think with grandpa in the hospital but the nurses gave them some gloves and we blew them up for them to play with. It was sad the leave Saydee thought that she got to stay and have a sleepover with grandma. Cody is just like a big kid he just wanted to play in the wheelchair. Get Better Soon Dad We Love You!!!!

**Saydee Starts Preschool**

The First day of Preschool Gavin didn't want to let her just have her picture taken so he is in it too. Tinkerbell is Saydee's favorite so that is why she has a Tinkerbell backpack with matching lunch box even though she doesn't need a lunch box. This is her teacher her name is Ms. Guillette she seems nice and Saydee likes her. It is crazy that Sayd is already in school she is getting so big I am proud of her she didn't even cry on the first day. Have fun at school sweet heart. Little brother didn't know what to do without big sister on the first day every 10 minutes he would say get Saydee but now I think he kind of likes his alone time.

Weekend Fun With Snakes

One weekend we decided to go 4-wheeling we just went on the low road up Fillmore Canyon usually the kids fall asleep so we don't go to far from home yet. Another weekend adventure took us all the way on top of the mountain this time we took the ugly truck. Stopping for a few pictures proved to be dangerous Cody almost stepped right on this rattle snake it was mad it was just a rattle'n' its tail SCARY. That was the end of letting the kids go very far every time they walked a little ways away I would go get them I am kind of paranoid. Yearly we come up and add our names to a tree or update a old one with our names on it so that is what Cody is doing in the picture with the tree standing on the truck. This day we also had packed a picnic and a blanked and ate right by where Cody is carving the tree. FUN FUN

Aug. 2nd The Double Birthday Bash !!!

Saydee turned 4 and Gavin turned 2

This is the double birthday party we celebrate their birthdays on the same day because Saydee's is on July 30th and Gavin's is on Aug. 10th so it makes it easy for family to come from out of town. Saydee wanted a Ladybug party and Gavin wanted a tractor one so that is what they got. The cakes were decorated by Tawnia (mom/grandma), Rachel (grandma/great grandma), Aunt Tiffanie (sister) and Me. They turned out pretty cute if you ask me Thanks Guys. I had also got a blow up bounce house which the kids loved we actually had to deflate if while we did presents and cake because the kids wouldn't get out of it. We had a Ladybug pinata which Gavin took a swing at. There were a lot of friends and family that showed up. A Big Thanks to everyone who came and hopefully had fun I know the kids did. Happy Birthday Sayd and Gav

Diva Kids

So Aunt Sandi gave Saydee some make-up for her birthday and I came into the front room to find Gavin painted up like a little Diva. Saydee of course thought it was funny and so did Gavin just look at him grin for the camera. What cuties I have to say. Gavin is still a hunk with glitter all over his face. Don't you love the messes kids make on themselves and everything else that gets in the way Thanks Aunt Sandi We Love You

Feeding The Squirrels

On the way back from Idaho we stopped at a rest area because Saydee insisted that she needed to use the bathroom all though when we got there she didn't even go. But on our way in we saw a guy and some kids feeding the squirrels so we went to the car and grabbed a bag of chex mix to feed them also. This was so fun they would run up and take it right out of your hand Saydee loved it Gavin on the other hand tried to scare them away most of the time. Hopefully the kids will remember this because we took lots of pictures and me being on of those people that has to keep every picture because it is a little different they should. I think the Cody and I had just as much fun as the kids.

This is when they stopped in Kuwait before heading on to Camp Bucca in Iraq. Cody said that when they stepped off the Airplane that it was like a heat wave the temperature was 140. That's way to hot for me I would never want to be in that kind of heat even for ten minutes with out wanting to die. How they did it I have no clue I guess that men can handle things like that better

A Year Away

So here it goes last year in April we found out that Cody my husband was going to be deployed to Iraq in June. Having two small children I knew that it was going to be hard on both of us. The kids knowing that Daddy was going away for a long time and not really grasping what a long time was. Sense of time for a child is not easy everyday I would be asked is Daddy coming home tonight and I would have to tell them the truth no and it's going to be a while until he does. This would prove to be the hardest thing I have been through in life yet anyways and I hope that it doesn't happen again. We all made it through that year and Cody came back home safe to us on May 26Th 2008. I hope that he knows how much the children and I love him and how proud we are of him.
