If anyone doesn't know you can go to www.blackfridayads.com and there are quite a few places listed with the deals that are going on. The website also tells you if the sale price is a door buster price. We will have to go to bed early because we will be leaving super early our first stop opens at 4am. Some people think we are crazy but we love it. I look forward to this day every year. Happy Shopping Everyone

Cody's Fight
Going into this fight Cody was a little nervous because he should be fighting 185 and they had him fight heavy up to 205. When he weighed in he weighed 190 and the kid he was to fight weighed 213 and would have to drop 8lbs by the next day. Also other then just a big weight difference there was a huge difference in height Cody is 5feet 11in. and the other guy was 6feet 5in. Well in the end the other guy won. Cody got talking and Anthony who sets up the fights said that this guy had no training and come to find out he has been training for 15 years. That's what you call going into a fight blind and having no idea what to expect. And yes I went to this one and it was pretty fun. I just got a little nervous right before Cody came out. I think He did great and next time it'll be him on the winning end. I love you.

Back from Cedar City
The kids and I went to Cedar City to visit my Mom and Dad because Cody was Playing Army all weekend. We spent Friday night in Cedar and then My Mom , Me and the kids went to St. George to do some shopping at Costco and see the rest of the family. We met up with Tiffanie, Grandma Marshall, Tia, and Sandi that day and then we went back to Cedar City. Sunday around 1 we headed for home and Cody got off shortly after we arrived.

Family Pictures
So a few weeks ago we went and had family pictures taken and this is how they turned out. This isn't the best picture in my point of view but it works. The guy was so busy trying to get Gavin and Saydee to smile that we didn't really know when he was taking the pictures. He took like 20 shots I would have thought one would have been better but for the most part its cute.

To My Loving Husband on Veteran's Day
Today is Veteran's Day and I wanted to let all who have served know how much we appreciate them. My Husband being one of them. He was away from his family and friends for a year and that seemed liked such a long time. I can't imagine being one of the families that lost a loved one. To them I am deeply sorry for what they have lost and appreciate their loved ones service to help keep us free.
These are pictures from Texas before they left for Iraq.
I love you Honey for all you have done for our Country and the sacrifices you have made to do so.To My Loving Husband
I still remember the day we found out you were going so far away. I almost did not believe that this could happen to us, was it a joke. I think my heart stopped. I would have given anything for you to stay but deep down inside I knew that you had to go. I decided to be strong for the kid. I did not want them to see their Mommy crying and wonder why. It was almost like learning how to live again. And take care of our kids the best I could without you here. To not have you there to comfort me when a day did not go quite right was hard. To go to sleep in our bed by myself and not have you there to keep me safe and warm was frightening. It kept me up a lot thinking something might happen when you were away from us. I almost forgot that is how you must have felt even worse being half a world away. The feeling I felt every time the phone would ring I just can’t explain. The calls and pictures are what kept us going. The day your plane flew in I just can’t explain the joy in my heart. It seemed like forever seeing the plane land and then seeing you step out. I have never in my life felt the feeling that overwhelmed me. My heart was racing, my knees were shaking, my arms trembling, and warm tears streaming down my face I ran to meet you like I had not seem you in a lifetime. Then your arms wrapped around me and I could feel you shaking too. Feeling your strong arms around me I just knew everything was going to be alright again. You are the love of my life and the father of our children our family would not have been the same without you. I thank God everyday that he brought you home safe to us. I love, respect, and honor you for what you have done. We are a stronger family for going through what we have and making it. You are the strongest person I know and I am honored to have you in my life.
I LOVE YOU

***GONE MUDDING***
It was raining all day and Cody just couldn't help himself he use to do this all the time when he was young and it still isn't out of his system. We took a ride up to the lakes and found this mud hole and we couldn't leave without spinning around in it like a thousand times.
Good thing I have a window or this is how I would look. I don't really think the kids liked spinning in so many circles. I think it made them dizzy because it made me a little dizzy myself. The mountains look so pretty when it is gloomy and snowy outside. The truck doesn't look that muddy but it is the mud is just really wet so there is a thin layer of it all over the whole thing. It is impossible to even open the door without getting your hands all covered in mud.
After mudding around for a while we decided to let the kids get out and play in the snow for a little bit before heading back to town. Gavin thought his snowball was a snowman and had to throw it at the truck. Saydee was making her own snowballs and trying to hit the windows in the truck.
I can't wait for there to be snow in town so we can build a giant snowman for the kids. We have seen them in books and on TV and every time we do Gavin wants one in his yard. He can't help himself he gets so excited that he claps his hands and yells SNOWMAN SNOWMAN he loves them. This was a fun little trip out of the house thanks for the CRAZY ride Honey I love you.Posted by mandy85 at 7:55 AM 0 comments

Rainy Day
Today it is rainy and yucky outside so I am trying to find things for the kids to do in the house. I am a freak and don't like the kids to get muddy and mess up their clothes. Right now they are coloring pictures to mail to Grandpa and Grandma Gentry. This is one of their things they like to do in their spare time

~~Saturday~~
So we went up north just to get out of FILLMORE for a change. We thought it would be fun to go and test drive vehicles we weren't really interested in buying. We happened to stop by a Chevy place and I absolutely love Tahoe's and someday we will have one. I hate mini vans and so this is my version of a van hehe. This old guy came out and started to talk to us about the one we liked and yes we ended up test driving it but in the end we knew we couldn't have it right now. It is crazy how much SUV's can cost more then a truck. I forgot my camera at home on the table so there are no pictures but the kids loved it. There was a BYU game going on and if we would have know that we probably would have stayed home it was CRAZY busy up there. Then we hit a couple stores in the mall and went out to eat at Applebees the kids were pretty good most of the time. By the end the kids had had enough and wanted to go back home so we headed that way. We stopped at Mills to trade drivers cause ever since Cody has been home from Iraq he can't really drive without getting tired I guess that is from not driving for a whole year. When they did get to drive it was only for like 2 miles at a time. So after the switch Gavin just wanted mommy and cried well SCREAMED the rest of the way home. Right as we go home Gavin stopped his fit and just wanted to wear his new shirt when he got it on he just said NICE. This is the end of our day and I finally got Gavin to sleep around 10 he fights it ever time. It was a fun day just to get away with the family.

Today's My Birthday
Well today I turned 23 I almost thought I was turning 22 isn't it crazy when you don't even remember your age. Sometime I already think I am losing my mind and I am still so young. Maybe it has something to do with raising two kids and everything else. Well anyways another year down and a lot more to go. Happy Birthday to me. It just seems like another day to wake up in the morning and go to bed at night. Yesterday Cody went to work thinking it was the 6Th and felt bad that he hadn't told me happy birthday. After work he went and picked up this rose and then realized that it was only the 5Th not the 6Th. I thought he was acting just a little funny when he got off work I was out raking leaves and he wanted me to come in the house. I told him I would when I was done and he just kept on insisting I come in and that is when he gave me the rose. Then he proceeded to tell me how he thought it was my birthday all day until just then when he looked at his phone. Thanks so much for worrying Honey I love you.

****BAKING AGAIN****
So for a while I have had an itching to make Cinnamon rolls. Finally I decided to make them because I had some mashed potatoes to use and raisins that were a little old. I really haven't made these on my own yet. I use to always make them around the deer hunt with my Uncle Ken, Mom, and Dad but I haven't tried it on my own. Thanks to Grandma Marshall I had a good roll recipe. The kids got in on the mess also we had flour from one end of the kitchen to the other.
For all of you who have been in my house knows that there is very little counter space making it a task to roll out the dough. My mom recently gave me a rolling chopping block and that is what I used to roll out the dough. It is small so I had to roll out 5 or 6 small batches instead of the usual 2. These are the Cinnamon rolls ready to go in the oven.
The finished product I ended up with about 4 dozen rolls and this probably will be the last time I try to make them in my kitchen. They are so good THANKS AGAIN GRANDMA for the recipe. YUMMY YUMMY!!!!! In total this little baking project took me 3 1/2 hours from start to finish even cleaning the dishes.Posted by mandy85 at 8:38 AM 1 comments

Feeding the Goldfish
We went up to the Elk's Lodge in St. George this weekend for my Grandpa Doug's 80Th Birthday Party. At the Lodge they had these fish and a place to buy a handful of fish food for a quarter. The kids loved it some of the fish were over a foot long. I couldn't believe how big they were some of the big ones could eat the small ones as a snack.

Roasting Marshmallows
We have 3 fire pits in our back yard and this night Cody decided to start a small fire to roast marshmallows over. The kids love to roast marshmallows and hot dogs. I broke Saydee's heart the other day when I told her it was to late to because she had school in the morning and she also had a slight cold. What an AWESOME dad to do this we love you.

~~HALLOWEEN~~
Here we go trick-or-treating. Saydee was a mean old witch with a cat and a hat. That is what she told us. Gavin was a cute little puppy dog. We started before it even got dark hitting the few houses around ours that we could or dared to. Then we got in the car and went up to Cody's Grandmas because Gavin was already wanting to go back to HIS HOUSE. Well after we got done there we hit a few other people we knew. Gavin fell right asleep once we got back into the car his bucket was about a 6th of the way full that's good enough for him. Posted by mandy85 at 5:57 AM 2 comments
