I Think I'm Addicted...

So I think that I am addicted to couponing I absolutely love it and can't do without it. I have been using coupons like crazy for a while and I mean crazy sometime when I go to Albertson's I have more then 50 coupons I think my most was around 80. This is my new found toy that on the Internet is selling for $30-$50 which is CRAZY INSANE. It is a 3 ring binder that I have put baseball card holders in and section dividers. I also have a zipper pocket for my scissors and stuff. I love it already I entered a give-a-way for one but didn't win I never win anything so it was no surprise. My sister Tia told me that she had just made hers so I went about collecting the stuff to go in mine. I got the binder at Walmart for under $1, the zipper pocket for $ 1, section dividers $2, I went to Roberts craft and the day I went the baseball card holders just happened to be on %50 so I got all 20 for $3 , then when I got home I printed a page for the front that said coupons and then put some scrap booking flowers and bees that I had on to make it cute. The GRAND TOTAL for making an awesome coupon book was $7. The people out there paying $30-$50 are NUTS and also my mom bought a coupon book that is a lot like this one but the slots to put the coupons in are a lot smaller and I know she paid a lot more then $7. My sister Tia also put hers in a zipper binder that has pockets in the inside I was to cheap to buy me one they were still $3 on clearance at Walmart and it had no pockets. I will keep my eye out at yard sales and things until I find one for super cheap.

YARD SALE TIME...

The morning of the yard sale Gavin was his Grandpa's shadow he followed him everywhere.

This is a picture of the sale. Tia put posters up saying that it would start at 8:00am but right as we lifted the garage door there were people showing up and it was only 7:00.

We had everything sorted and priced so it looked nice. The day before I had made oatmeal chocolate chip cookies and triple berry muffins for the girls to sell they also had orange juice. Well they pretty much sold out and they each made just over $6. Great job Girls and thanks Tanner for helping them a little.
Landon getting in on the action and helping out. Well they yard sale went great we all made quite a bit of money and got rid of most the junk we had there.
This is Gavin's new tool bench that my Mom, Dad, and Grandma found at a yard sale a few weeks ago for $2. He just loves it and can't get enough of it. Thanks everyone for helping keep track of my kids in the craziness of it all.

All Squished Into One...

So the other night Cody thought it would be fun to make smores and roast hot dogs so we built a fire in our fire pit out back and did just that. Gavin was loving them and ate 2 after eating a hot dog. One was enough for Sayd and she wouldn't let me take another picture of her.

The kids and I getting some more marshmallows ready for smores.

Everyone enjoying the smores it was a YUMMY treat thanks Honey.

The weather has been so nice lately the kid love it and they love to draw on the sidewalks.

Gavin drawing a spider it is his new found thing to draw and yes he loves spider man.

Saydee was drawing butterflies and houses anything she could think of she would try to draw.

Gavin got in the pool while out visiting Grandpa Hare at work and was trying to take off his clothes. He was getting mad because his pull-up was coming down to.

So this looks NASTY but I wanted to let everyone see what Cody and his Dad did for eight hours on Easter. That is our sewer that they had to dig up because nothing in the house would drain.

Cody's dad Bart brought over a snake and that is what he was doing in this picture is snaking the pipes.
So this 1/2 bath is so small it looks like a closet but yes it is another bathroom. They had to take out the toilet and sink to get the snake in there.

Even with all the hard work they did with me just sitting there watching them the problem wasn't all of the way taken care of.

The next morning I called the city to see if they would do anything because whatever was in the pipe was past the sidewalk and that is city property and you can't just dig out there. They came right over and used a bigger snake to push the clog out to the street. Some how they figure that tree roots had got in and made this mess we were in. Thanks for all the hard work.

Done FINALLY!!!

You are probably wondering what this is but yeah that is a picture of the carpet that use to be in the kitchen. I know it is really ugly but our house is old and everything in the kitchen is built to a slope so if we were to fix that it would cost a lot of money. So we have lived with this crazy carpet for years but it is now gone thank goodness.

So for a day we really looked like white trash our door off, fridge and freezer on the porch, and stove on the grass what a MESS.

This is the new carpet that is in the half of the kitchen with the slope. I think it looks pretty good considering what was there before.

This is the end result the wood and carpet are done the only thing is we have a little trim left to put down around the wood. I am so stoked about the new carpet it makes it feel like a whole new house.
This morning I just had to take a picture of Gavin feeding the cats. He loves to do this everyday and everyday he talks to them and gives them hugs. We don't really like the cats to be inside except when they eat because of the hair. We had to start feeding them inside because our neighbor has like 6 cats and they hear us feed ours outside and they end up eating all the food. The crazy part is when we were feeding them outside we were paying more out of pocket per month to feed our cats then to feed our chocolate lab.

So on Sunday we went out to white mountain to ride 4-wheelers and get away from our messy house for a little while. The kids loved playing in the sand and were more interested in that then riding their 4-wheelers.
Gavin just looks at us when he is riding and hammers the gas SCARY. Good thing these little 4-wheelers have little remotes that will turn them off from a distance. It is so cute to see him riding a 4-wheeler at such a young age.

Saydee is so awesome on hers and she knows how to use her foot brake so good. By the time she is 6 she is going to be jumping that thing. Gavin will probably be jumping his when he is 4 because he is a little CRAZY on his.

Master Bedroom, Kids Room & Living Room...

So when we took the carpet out of our room this is what we found under it this lovely flowered floor. That is the last time I will be seeing that.

The carpet is now in and we are loving it it feels so nice to walk on. It is great that we could get our room back together because we could only get to half of our clothes. Sleeping on the floor was getting a little old so when we had to take stuff out of our room we put our mattress in the living room for a night.
We took the flowered flooring out of the kids room and fixed part of the wall that was in bad shape after our flood.
This is the kids room now and they love it.

The kitchen had carpet piled up all over the place it was a little crazy while that was going on.

When we took out the living room carpet this is what we found hard wood floors that were in great condition.

To me it looks like they at one time had something like a large rug or something in the middle and just stained around the edges. It's crazy what they did back in the day.

Gavin was trying to help pound in the staples with his little hammer what a little helper.

Well it's done and now is the fun part NOT moving back all of our stuff. I am glad that 3 rooms and the hall are done now we just have the kitchen.

Yesterday we went up north and got the kids bunk bed and let them choose what comforter they wanted. Gavin got Spider Man and Saydee got Disney Princesses. They were so excited they could hardly stand it.

At first Gav had a hard time climbing the ladder but when he got the hang of it after a couple time he was so proud of himself. Saydee loves having her bed on the top hopefully that lasts through the night and she doesn't change her mind.

It is crazy how excited they get over a new bed and more so then a toy. That is something I will never understand I guess. I will update more when the kitchen is done and I hope that is soon.

Whats Been Going On Around Here!!!

So It took about a week for the insurance to approve our bid on carpet so they ordered the carpet 2 Fridays ago. The flood in the house happened the Friday before that and the carpet got here Monday and we started putting it in Tuesday. They came and did the Master bedroom and the kids room that day. At least when they were done we were able to put our room back together. We had to leave the kids room empty beings that our house is so small that is where everything from the front room is going until they get that carpet in tonight. This has been such a mess for the last 3 weeks I hate it. On Easter none of our drains would drain once again and the toilet wouldn't stop running clean water so again we had to clean that up. We ended up having to dig up the sewer and running a toilet snake down it from outside. So right now there is a huge hole in the back yard. Cody's dad came and helped for like 8 hours on Easter and the problem still wasn't all the way taken care of. What ever was blocking the sewer was past our sidewalk making it the City's problem so I called them on Monday morning and they came right over and used a bigger snake and pushed whatever it was into the main line. They figure that it was just tree roots from our trees out front at least everything is working now. Hopefully we will have the Kitchen done by Monday or Tuesday and then our lives can get back to normal. I think we are going to get the kids bunk beds they are so excited hopefully we don't have a little boy trying to jump off the top he is pretty daring. Saydee just wants her room back so she can play. When everything is put together I will post pictures of the whole process.

EASTER

Gavin woke up first this morning and went in to wake up Sayd. She just turned over and said she still wanted to sleep. We told her if she didn't get up that Gavin would be finding the eggs without her so she finally got up.

Here are the kids Easter Baskets. They each got quite a few fun things including 2 books.

Gavin was eating the candy as fast as he found it. He probably had 4 pieces of chocolate in his mouth in that picture and opening more.

That looks like lots of fun with tons of candy I think I will have to hide some of it.

Gavin was excited that he got Easter Bunny Peeps.

Saydee loved her little Nerd guy.

Finding lots of eggs and because it was rainy and cold the Easter Bunny hid them in the house this year.

It was a great Easter morning the kids had a lot of fun finding eggs and digging into their baskets.

***COLORING EGGS***

The kids were so excited to color eggs they could hardly stand it. Saydee went right for the pink and Gavin went for the blue.

We colored all the eggs and then started decorating them.. This year I bought the camo kit and a bright and shiny kit. Cody helped Gavin put some gold foil on his and camo stickers.

They are looking so good and at least the kids are having fun. Gavin was even putting them in the color and taking them out by himself.

Sayd just loves the bright colors and had a blast putting stickers on her eggs.

I helped Sayd get hers colored. I was trying to make her a 3 tone one and dropped it oops... In the end they all looked so good and they can't wait for the Easter Bunny to hide them.
