~~THE TILING PROJECT~~

So this is the beginning of a 5 day tiling project we didn't really know what we were getting ourselves into. We found out that we had to put up something called cement board which is a pain in the butt to cut we went through 3 or 4 saw blades. Putting it up was even harder we broke probably 8 to 10 screwdriver bits what a pain. Once we tackled that the tile started to go up. When we were cutting some of it the kids decided to play in the Nissan and Gavin climbed right on the top he thought it was funny I didn't.

When we started the tile we had a few things we had to work around like the bathroom wasn't square and the kids always trying to help but they were just getting under our feet taking tools and everything else they could get there little hands on.
Finally the tile is up and it is ready for the grout that was my job and it wasn't very fun if you ask me. The grout you have to squish into all the little cracks and then wipe it off after it dries what a mess. I forgot to take a picture when I was doing it but I had grout everywhere the tub was covered and even the floor. Finally 5 days after we started what we thought would be a 2 day project we are done and here it is the finished product.
I would like to say I did it and take the credit but it was Cody really the only thing I did was put in the grout. Cody had a hard time getting everything to line up but in the end it looks awesome. Thanks Honey.

We had Brandon and Tiffanie pick us up a few things when they were up north like some of the small tiles to go around the window and the top of the shower and a shower head. Thanks guys if it wasn't for you we would still be in a mess. We love our new bathroom and its cool we did it. I never knew that taking a shower would be so great it was awesome.

It looks great!!! I am so jealous. It is amazing what you can accomplish yourselves. That would have cost a fortune if you would have paid someone else to do it.
