First RZR ride with the new doors we built |
In this picture you can see the doors we built. Cody bent conduit to the shape of the RZR in two pieces so it can be a full door or half door. When he was done bending, it was my turn to do the sewing. We made the doors with waterproof canvas and vinyl. This was by far the most challenging thing I have ever tried to sew. The strip just under the window is not sewn to the bottom of the door it has Velcro so you can just lift off the top half of the door if needed.
All in all we love how the doors turned out in the end. If we were to just buy doors we would pay four times as much money so it is well worth the hours spent making them. We stayed super warm too. |
Cody took the kids and Hoss for a ride on Friday night. The kids said they had a lot of fun. |
I was trying to get a good picture of the hole we tipped over in but they didn't turn out very good.
This ride we were in really deep snow a lot of the way and if we slowed down we would lose traction and get stuck.
We had a fun ride despite the layover and I can't wait to go again. Oh I forgot to tell about how we kept the kids warm in the back. We took a shower curtain cut it in half and zip tied it around the back of the RZR. The kids had to climb in over our seats but the shower curtain held in the heat and the kids actually said it was hot back there. Gav said "I am toast, toasting in a toaster" LOL. I am glad we stayed warm cause it was a cold snowy day and we stayed gone for over four hours. UNTIL NEXT TIME.

Way to go on the sewing! That would be tough! Sounds like a fun, eventful ride. We've always wanted a rzr. Such a good way to get out as a family! Especially if you can stay warm!
